tips menghapus seluruh isi gmail

salah satu indikasi exist seorang manusia online adalah tiap hari menerima banyak email :) entah berbagai milis, update social networking status dan berbagai email personal.

penyakitku yang mungkin tidak berkorelasi dengan indikasi diatas adalah males nghapusin email-email yang terbaca apalagi yang tidak terbaca. teori yang aku harapkan seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi adalah email storage will be unlimited hehe

sejak memiliki account gmail tahun 2006 dan bergabung dengan bnyk milis, hari ini peringatan untuk menghapus atau mengupgrade account tersebut tercantum dengan manis. aku hampir menghabiskan quota yang ku miliki.

kebayang ribetnya menghapus email-email tersebut.. hanya 78ribu sekian :)
dengan tampilan sort sebanyak seratus email perpage aku harus melakukan tujuh ratus delapan puluh sekian select all dan delete.. tanpa googling tutorial aku pikir hanya itulah yang bisa dilakukan, dan itu ku lakukan sekian kali, untungnya ada akses koneksi yang cukup gede dan stabil si speedy unlimited kantor.

tiba-tiba aku membaca sederatan kalimat bahwa ternyata ada fungsi untuk menghapus semua email sekaligus , waduh untung banget tips menghapus seluruh email/conversation dalam satu account gmail itu cukup gampang, berikut langkah-langkahnya :

• pilih select all kemudian muncul pemberitahuan "All 100 conversations on this page are selected. Select all jumlah conversations in inbox/trash/etc" pilihan apakah ingin memilih seluruh email/conversation tersebut. pilihlah select all conversation.

• pilih delete untuk menghapus semua isi inbox/trash/etc tersebut.

• maka berikutnya akan muncul konfirmasi apakah yakin untuk menghapus keseluruhan email conversation tersebut. pilih ok.

keseluruhan email yang telah dihapus masih akan tersimpan di dalam fitur trash yang dimiliki account gmail. lebih praktis menghapus semuanya lalu kemudian mengembalikan sejumlah email yang masih cukup baru dan penting ke inbox dari pada menghapus maksimal seratus-seratus email dari awal/oldest email.

ada pilihan "empty trash now" yang dapat diklik untuk menghapus semua email tersebut (tidak dapat dikembalikan lagi ya..). secara sistem email yang ada di folder trash akan terhapus otomatis setelah 30 hari.

google earth pro perlu licence key, dengan list harga $400,annualy per user, tapi kalau mau coba dulu bisa dapatin licence key untuk trial selama 7 hari, katanya sih perbedaannya diversi yang pro lebih banyak foto-fotonya.

ada juga yang versi enterprise, hm.. saya yang google earth biasa aja deh, yang gratis :)

salah satu yang menjadi tanda pengenal dalam dunia per-sms-an adalah gaya penulisan sms tsb.

kalau ga pakai singkatan bisa diperkirakan usia pengirim <> 40 thn, berhati-hatilah bercanda dengan pengirim sms seperti ini :)
kalau pakai singkatan at least hanya menghilangkan beberapa huruf vokal dan sesuai eyd, ssuai, ga, udh, entahlh, biasany, mlkukn n etc bisa diperkirakan juga usianya berkisar 25 s/d 40 tahun, sms just message toh..
dan usia 8 s/d 25 tahun merupakan generasi sms, jadi mungkin karena teknologi ini lahir dan berkembang pesat di jaman mereka.

selama ini saya paling menyingkat kata itu sesuai eyd, baik untuk sms dan email, yah catet.. paling tidak masih bisalah dimengerti oleh orang-orang yang membacanya.. sesuai umur ;p
blog memberi kesempatan untuk menulis secara benar dan santai, mengurangi kebiasaan menyingkat kata, balance gt deh

tapi segaul-gaulnya (menurut saya) saya selama ini, tetap aje kuper kalau gaul or smsnan ama abege.. katakanlah khususnya anak2 kelahiran 90-an, padahal referensi saya itu top abies om google, tante wiki, gaul kaskus dan khusus bahasa slang si chubby urban dictionary. saya berterimakasih secara khusus buat url terakhir yang membuat saya ga terlalu gaptek dan kuper banget :D

saya berniat browsing dulu nanti buat mencari tahu artinya, seumur ini saya belum pernah mengirimkan singkatan seperti ini, iseng nanya ama teman kantor.. apa sih artinya GPL, oh my God dia tahu, ternyata "ga pake lama.."

anak smu ini selalu mengirimkan bls, blz, Blz disetiap sms yang dikirimkan ke saya, dan entah kenapa mengetikkan kalimat balas seperti itu mengingatkan saya pada pemberian tanda centang 'high priority' untuk email yang dikirimkan, jadi males balasnya..

ini koleksi sms abege yang kebetulan masih ada di hp saya :

'Kak,bleh tw gak??, nTar LngsgNg d"sdiakan za a Yeah, jNg kYk MngGu Llu k"k Qta a .. aduh, ngeri kali ku rasa, ga mengerti saya maksudnya..
"byr ntr tU ZA Dpake kLW mw lathn, dah d' humz ... " dengan hening cipta beberapa menit saya baru ngerti humz itu home hiks..

"blez a ksini ja," ini lagi, nomornya sampai delapan di telepon saya, dan untuk menghubunginya saya harus menelepon satu-satu atau mengsms saja sekaligus ke semua nomornya untuk tahu yang mana yang aktip..

dan yang paling buat sebel adalah penggunaan tanda baca seru dan tanya yang lebih dari satu..
menurut etika, penulisan tanda seru satu adalah teriak, penekanan keras, kalau dua sudah marahlah itu, kalau tiga atau lebih.. seperti begini..

ga capek apa mencet-mencet keypad hp gt, mana tanda baca juga kan letaknya di menu khusus, lalu klik tanda panah atas bawah kiri kanan.. mana di hp ga ada copy paste gitu deh..

dulu jaman awal dunia per-sms-an, saya nyengir waktu ditegur salah satu inang (orang tua perempuan) di gereja saya karena dia ga ngerti singkatan yang saya gunakan dan minta supaya setiap ada pesan ke beliau, selain ga disingkat juga jangan pake bahasa english :D

sekarang saya mungkin harus berpesan kepada anak-anak itu, dan mungkin gantian mereka nyengir dibelakang saya..

Ingat tokoh antagonis di Pirates of Carribean, arwah penguasa dasar laut (poseidon wannabe) sang kapten kapal hantu dengan tentakel-tentakel yang menyeramkan.. ganas dan tanpa perasaan menyuruh seluruh hantu-hantu laut bekerja keras ribuan tahun.. mengejar awak kapal ataupun bajak laut dengan Flying Dutchman..

Menurut legendanya, adaptasi dari buku ttg misteri2 dunia karangan Nigel Blundell,
konon ada kapal Belanda yg berlayar mau menuju Batavia (gile kalau bener kapal yang ini berarti sebenarnya Davy Jones mau ke Indonesia dong huehe) tapi ketika sampe di Tanjung Harapan (Afrika Selatan), ada badai besar dan hendak menenggelamkan kapal.
Tp si kapten tetep bandel mau meneruskan perjalanan, ada mitos yg berkembang waktu genting itu kapten kapal didatangi iblis, diberi tawaran:
kapten itu disuruh menyembah si iblis maka dia dan kapalnya akan dijadikan penguasa laut yang paling disegani dan ditakuti oleh seluruh dunia pelaut.
Ternyata pilihan itu mengandung kutukan, si kapten mau menyembah si iblis,
dan si kapten dijadikan pelaut abadi bersama kapalnya, dan menjadi armada paling legendaris dan ditakuti sampai masuk film jaman kini.

Tapi sang jagoan itu jatuh cinta...
